Colonel Paul Henderson,
Second Assistant Postmaster General.

My dear Colonel Henderson:

Please accept, effective today, my resignation from the U.S Air Mail Service.

In tendering this resignation, I wish to express my appreciation of your kindness and courtesy in offering to find me other work in the service when my position as Assistant General Superintendent was abolished upon recommendation of the Post Office inspectors. While I find it a little difficult to terminate my comparatively long period of service with the Air Mail Service so abruptly, I feel that perhaps I will do better to leave Government service, and get into business in Washington; which while not so pleasant might eventually prove more profitable.

With kindest personal regards.

Sincerely yours,
