DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

THE SECRETARY OF COMMERCE
WASHINGTON 25

February 10, 1945

Dear Charlie:

I cannot leave the Department without expressing to you my appreciation for the excellent service you have rendered as Deputy Administrator of Civil Aeronautics.

These four years have been fateful years in the history of our country, and all of us who have had a part in meeting the manifold problems that have confronted us will be able to look back on this service with satisfaction and pride.

I am sure you will carry on your work under a new Secretary with the same devotion, efficiency and loyalty that you have while I have been Secretary.

It has been a pleasure to be associated with you.

With every good wish,

Sincerely,
Jesse Jones

Mr. Charles I. Stanton
Deputy Administrator of Civil Aeronautics
Washington, D.C.
