TAYLORCRAFT GLIDER 1942 Being turned out in volume by Taylorcraft Aviation Corporation, Alliance, Ohio, for new Army-CAA program to train thousands of gilder pilots for war service. Designated as the TG-6 in Army classification, the new craft is also known as the "ST-100", the "S" for Charles I. Stanton, Acting Civil Aeronautics Administrator, who conceived the idea of converting light planes into gliders, and the "T" for Taylorcraft.
