our greatest jolt, excuse the word but it fills the bill, was when we read of "A delightful romance" in the Mexican Herald. We were fighting mosquitoes and ghats in our bamboo shack and endeavoring to get some idea of the busy world that had been left behind. Our home at that time was in the Tierra Caliente of Michoacan and we were eager  for news. Imagine our surprise when we saw the familiar name of a Chicago friend and our utter amazement as the plot deepened under the able pen of Herald correspondent. I might tell you of this friend as you may have met him in the Windy City. We spent a delightful week with him when we were on our way to the Navajo country. He was a princely entertainer and everything was done for our comfort and entertainment. He was planning a trip to the Canadian northwest. A hunting trip this was to be and he had great hopes of gathering in a goodly supply of mountain sheep. A preliminary trip was mentioned. It was to be in the direction of the east-land where he said he hoped to see a relative. No mention made he about this being a hunting trip but from developments it would seem that were was a certain variety of deer in those parts that he was anxious to possess.
