Mr. Geo. Hubbard Pepper
New York E.U.A.

My Dear Mr. Pepper

To be very slangy, you must think it a long time between drinks, or
rather letters - Some ten days since I returned from a business trip to the States of Puebla & Oaxaca - and found your letter awaiting me. I have shipped the material ordered by you at San Antonio, to Mr. Bauer as you directed, ordering the freight prepaid. I hope it will reach you in good order and soon. I have been able to do nothing with the old fool in Uruapan - and when I go up to Uruapan in the course of 10 days will send you N.Y. exchange. I will go and see the old man one more time, and hear what he has to say -
