Mr. Clarence B. Moore,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

My dear Mr. Moore:-

I want to thank you for your bound copy of "Urn Burials in the United States". It no doubt reached the Museum some time ago but, owing to the fact that I was in the West, I have not been able to acknowledge your kindness until now. I hope to be able to look up the photographs of pottery and basket burials, that I spoke of when in Philadelphia, in the near future. These will be sent to you and should you desire a number of prints from any of the negatives I can have them made for you.

I hope that you have not forgotten our conversation concerning the pieces of pottery from the South for Mr. Heye. He is endeavoring to fill in the gaps in his study collection and I do hope that you can help him as he is doing so much for anthropology and is becoming more and more interested in the work. Have you not one or two pieces that you would care to sell to him so that he may have your region represented; you might add to these by purchases in the South as you suggested. Hoping that you can do this, I am,

Sincerely yours,

Geo. H. Pepper.
