Mr. J. E. Linde,
214 William Street,
New York City, N.Y.

My dear Mr. Linde:-

I am sending you herewith a check for the paper that you had cut for me. Owing to the fact that the bill was sent to the regular office and not to me direct, the clerk assumed that it was Museum business and therefore asked for duplicate bills and, I fear, put you to some little trouble. I had wondered why the bill had not been sent and even wrote you about the some, as you may remember - this explains it.

Again thanking you for your kindness in this matter, I beg to remain,

Sincerely yours,
Geo. H. Pepper
