AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
NEW YORK

December 24, 1908.

OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

My dear Mr. Pepper:

I greatly regretted to receive your letter of December 22, tendering your resignation as Assistant in the Department of Anthropology in this Museum. I shall communicate the same to the Executive Committee at its next meeting.

I desire to congratulate you upon this offer from the University of Pennsylvania, which I presume is in the nature of promotion, and, at the same time, to express my warm personal appreciation of your services to the American Museum.

Believe me, with very best wishes for your continued success in your profession in this new post,

Very truly yours,
Henry Fairfield Osborn
President.

Mr. George H. Pepper.
