Mon. 1932 - The trio acted big shots again in the office. The first copy came out, with my name in blazing print on the editorial page - editor - Reuben Tam - Lines - by Reuben Tam. Gee, It feels good to have such an important place in the newspaper world. I wonder how far I'll get in journalism and poetry. We went to see the destroyers, and Ruth, with all her personality & drags, managed to get a turkey slice form the cook! A very satisfying day, today.

Tues. 1932 To insure my getting honor points for the scholastic contests, I took a big step in suggesting to Clopton to have the contests sponsored in the school. It was ok. Prizes are 5,3,1 in each of the 3 divisions. I took my French test today at 3rd period parce que je went to work in Garden Island the last 3 periods. The paper came out - and I'm still feeling great!
