Harriet wrote a beautiful sonnet! I'd give her first.
I just glad to know I've 15 points more to my credit!
I eventually Hi Y meeting tonite - first & last time.
Went riding with Malcolm -- and W. had to tag along!

[[strikethrough]] Fri [[/strikethrough]] Thurs. 1932 Am I glad? & thrilled? I won all three contests! Second place in essay & in story went to Harriet, and also third in poetry. Paul came second in poetry -- gee -- he's so artistic -- can draw & write. I admire him! For essay - Anderson placed my two essays 1st and 2nd & Sevicik placed "Let Them Laugh" first & Harriet's second -- Moragne - vice versa of Sevcik. Don't know about the stories except that two of the three judges put my "Golden Lie" first - "Mirror" was declared best by Anderson & Clopton (top)

Gee, I hope I get a place in the Scholastic finals! This is my hope!

Friday 1932 - I feel [[strikethrough]] that I need [[/strikethrough]] que j'ai besoin de [[strikethrough]] two persons to make me [[/strikethrough]] deux personnes faire moi extremely [[strikethrough]] happy [[/strikethrough]] heureuse. [[Strikethrough]] Je need a real boy friend - one who writes, and plays music -- good looking - associable, kind - and not an athlete - intelligent. Then I want one of whom I may be proud of braggardly - one of whom I may write poems. So far, I haven't [[strikethrough]] found [[/strikethrough]] trouve any one to suit me.
