To the Col in Wilmington at Head Quarters. Sir I was directed to you for justice and that is what I want. John Waddell Esq the deseast [[deceased}]. He was my husband I was not married to him because he was White and I am Colored so he connected himself with me when I was at the age of 17 and so we continued together until the 13 of last month when i was deprived of his comfort by Genl Sherman Loomer's who killed him on his plantation and thay was no person thare with him in former days & he had with him on the plantation my too [[two]] sons an 10 black hands, he writen [[written]] his will
