9/25/59 A Walk in the Woods Land and spruce reach higher at noon above the air! free as air! Underfoot the steady streams go on Low through light and dark and moss. Will have to cross the bog on planks and leap [[strikethrough]]and jump[[/strikethrough]] from-mound to mounds [[strikethrough]]of[[/strikethrough]]grass Our leaps are cumulus to snails Thunder to the katydid. And the crows go round and over, And gold-thread gleams along the trail. We should not stop too long for anything for the sky might softly fall on us!
