My dear Mr. Pepper,
I have been very delinquent in not having answered your very thoughtful letter of January 17, and I have only the lazy man's excuse lack of time. It was very nice indeed of you to refer me to the antler artid articles in the Can. Institute. As you surmise I was unable to get these for although I had given to our local society two complete sets of the Ont. Arch Repts in which these also these also were they were not to be found. Neither have I been able as yet to get Wintemberg's articles on "Shell" and "Horn", although I gav two copies of these also to the Society. These I need, so much so that I am having one of my boys who is in Toronto go over to Orr andtry to borrow them for me; but Orr is sick and I am waiting. My boy however who bybthe way is an archeologist of parts, went over the Toronto museum for me and sent me sketches of the antler articles there. 
It's very wonderful how much the Canadians don't know about their archeology, and how much good paper they have spoiled on it. I have threatened for five years to go over there and straighten out their Huron an
