I will run down what trails I have and see if I cannot find something worth while. In the magazine "Old Santa Fe," you will find a contribution by Abe Spiegelberg on the Navajo blanket. Of course you know of George Wharton James' book on the same subject. The interesting feature to me has not been the fact of when, why or how they became acquainted with the art of weaving, but who in the first place suggested the myriad designs and combinations which we find in many of the old "balleta" blankets in particular.

Yours very truly,

R E Twitchell
