Gentlemen:-

Am sorry that I have not been able to send a reply to your letter on inquiry. I received the letter in due time and took the matter up with Professor Saville who took the list to the Explorers Club. he said he would take the matter under consideration and see the members of the library committee. I was then taken sick with the flu and have been in bed for the past two weeks. Yesterday was my first day at the [[Museum?]] in some time. Savilla says that the holding up of payment has been simply an oversight on the part of the library people and that a check will be sent to you within a few days. Should you fail to receive it within a reasonable time kindly let me know and I will find out the reason.

Hoping that you have not been inconvenienced through this neglect to settle promptly and thanking you for past favors I am,

Very truly yours,
