to talk with us, it seemed she had been out to see Mama and said, she had stayed all night there, and that Helen had gone to Bradford for a few days, she thought Mama seemed satisfied with her new home and that she thought it was pleasant. Well this week I have called on Maud, she had just come down with a dreadful cold and Henry had one also, he is a very pretty boy and seems affectionate. there does'nt seem anything very bad about him as I see, his ma thinks a lot of those boys & I hope they prove a comfort to them both. Gertrude the girl over opposite that has been so bad came over Friday for me to come over to her house which I did she seems much better, and talks of going to work Monday. she showed me all over her house. she is a nice house keeper and her house is tasty, she makes lots of little nick nacks, which add to the looks of a home, I guess she can do anything. she showed three summer dresses that she made. one she had on a brown scotch gingham. she made it in an hour so she wore it down town. it was a pretty dress.
