I will have to do all the writing this time, as Pa doesnt feel good these days, he is used up with his leg since a week ago last Wednesday he had beenn in mortal pain and has to walk the floor nights from our room to another till it seem as though he would be wild, the pain has kept to day all day so far and he anticipates a bad night to night, he still keeps up his work days. The card seems to tighten up at night and is ridged, he thinks it is sciatica rhumatism find out all that you can about it if you have to see your doctor and let us know, that led is the one he has hurt so many times and you know he has had so much cramp in both of them, he gets discouraged and I am awake with him every night, he gets so blue and helpless, you don't know how hard it is to see him suffer and not be able to do anything to relieve it. We put on bingue it is taking the life right out of him with so much suffering, he thinks the doctor would only be for giving him dope and knocking his heart out with asprin the same as he did for Burrell when he had sciateca. Mrs Griffin brought in some Iodine to paint it with, but he only tried it on the knee and thought it seemed to make it feel uncomfortable. This letter you may not get so early, as he is talking of giving it to Ring so not to walk down on purpose for mailing it. We have both of us had a nice map this afternoon and feel better for it. I am sorry to write such a gloomy letter this time and hope things will be improved when you come home. The say that 'way back is fitted to its burden' and 'that every cloud has a silver lining' Father had it a year and a half and went through untold agonies all though it you know that nerve in ones led is a good deal larger than the one in your tooth and makes a bigger ache. Pa is writing to Lena about the berries we think she made herself too much trouble in sending so many berries I guess she must have bought some of aunt Cora well Il see you next Sunday sure Ma,
