Dear Doris:
We are still alive, Lena was out she came Wednesday night, our dinner was good we still have the remains for todays dinner. The tulips came Tuesday, they were nice bulbs and we have them all set out this morning, before the ground freeze and a wire put around them, so the hens cant scratch them up. Pa is going to wheel over some dressing this noon. I have just got through my washing but as it is a cold storm I shall not hang them out today. We have got a diptheria case down below us in the Nevins house. we noticed a red card up in the window day before yesterday after the child had been sick several days. I called Nellie Loomey over the first of the week to read your Conference letter. she thought it was pretty good. I shall send it up for Horaces folks to read, Sue said she would like to read it and then let Aunt Rebecca read it, for its too good to remain in seclusion. Pa has had it down to the store Talbot thought it was pretty good english and it would do to publish. Ralph thought the illustrations were good also.
