a handsome dress for a xmas present, must have cost a lot and she gave it to her before hand, because she thought she needed it. so she said. she had your two presents that she showed me that she also got in Boston. Maude is not at all stingy a big heart goes with her always. They brought me home in their car and then Ralph had to come in to see Pa, so that after they went we had tea and they were going home to get up something, for some of the kids company. Maude said she had'nt a thing in the house cooked but tried to hurry up Ralph so to get something started.

I got my check last night and she expects me to do two or three lavender jackets trimmed with white borders and send them in quick as they are finished, for samples to send into Boston. They seem to be rushing business these days.

I stopped long enough to do the hem stitching on your curtains. I never realized they were so putting before, as I had always plenty of time to do them, and liked the job but this was stealing time away from them. it took two days to finish them and I was glad to send them off done. I knew you needed them and hope they add to the little home. it seems that this year, all of the presents so far have been for your home. Pa has gone down to Dykemans after some apples. we are both apple hungry I guess. well this will answer for this time
