Dear Doris,

The day began with sun but it has now clouded over and keeps us guessing as to what it may turn into.

I have been quite busy finishing up my preserves this past week. Wednesday I made up three jars of chilly sauce out of the ripe tomatoes.

I probably shall make the same out of the green ones of (picklelilly) [[piccalilli]]. While in the midst of preserving Alice came from Servalls, she had been visiting in West Bridgewater she came over to see about a housekeeping job that Pa had recommended which looked
