I have the honor to report that Co. F. 34th US Infantry and a small detachment of the 5th US. Cavalry, are on duty at this Station and at Pittsburg Landing, Tenn. Bvt. Lt. Col. A.W. Wills A.Q.M. informs me that he considers this force amply sufficient for the protection of the Bureau, as well as for the Means of Transportation and Stores under his charge.
