S 38 — F. B. S. M — 1867.

Rains and inundation of lands up to the 15th June—and preceded by an intents Drouth which fields for some 2 sunsets_ tho which but little sown and that Infirm_ [[crossed-out]] at [[/crossed-out]] oats_ look fine. but little sown — as far as my observation extends this is the attention given to stock-raising Having poor corn to feed them,  Hence they are perishing and diminishing daily

If the people could be relieved here I should be much pleased. Especially the colored

There is a great outside freedom among the rebels here to prevent an  organization of the republican party - but [[????]] to counteract it — & as members of the Board of Registrars for - this & would like Genl Ord to issue an order for the instruction of the Board. Such as Emanated from Genl Schofield of Va. to his Boards there. It fully meets my views of Jany the 30.
