Double Springs Miss
Feb 4th 1867

Dear Father
This leaves us all well hoping you are enjoying the same blesing etc nothing strange has occured since you left home, I received the money from Scruggs yesterday Gep leaves this morning for Kentucky the boys are geting along finely with their work and I have been loking for a letter from you for several days etc  I wish you to see a military officer for me in regard to this Greensboro raid State causes the in full to him and asertain with the the military would take any action in our behalf or not  I was requested by a friend on yesterday to write to you on this subject assertain who is the commanding officer of this State and I will write to him etc.
