Thrope Home As It Looks Now

From 1917 to 1924, Jim and Iva Thrope lived in the house known today as the house where A. A. Lassleys now reside, near the grade school.

Daniel J. Burris and his wife sold the house to Iva M. Thrope on September 12, 1917.

On July 8, 1924, Jim and Iva sold their home to their daughter, Gail M. and Charlotte M. Thrope, the deed being recorded January 26, 1925.

The daughter retained the house until they sold it to Wallace and Carla Moore in 1948. One of the daughters was in Japan at the time, so the deed had to be sent there for signing.
