'Promises' To Appear Oct. 26
"Promises, Promises" is not a promising musical - it's a hit - but when it appears Oct. 26 in Civic Center Music Hall, a promising if experienced young actor will take the starring role.
The Neil Simon, Burt Bacharach and Hal David musical will showcase the talents of Will Mackenzie as a romantically troubled, ambitious young business executive.
MacKENZIE is the actor-singer-dancer who helped make "Hello, Dolly," another David Merrick production, a Broadway hit when for two years he played the bashful clerk of the feed and grain merchant of that show, with four of its series of Dollys - Carol Channing, Ginger Rogers, Martha Raye and Betty Grable.
Mackenzie was seen three seasons ago with Tom Ewell and Rosemary Pr[[?]]

Graphic Art On Display
PITTSBURG, Kan. -
An exhibition of modern graphic art from Pickard Art Galleries, Oklahoma City, is currently on view until Sept. 25 at the Art School of Kansas State College in Pittsburg.
The show explores the development of geometric abstract art schools including Concrete Art, Op Art and Pop Art from 1910 until the present.
Josef Albers, Victor Vasarely, Richard Anuszkiewicz, Piet Mondrian and Frank Stella are among 28 artists represented in the 50-piece show.
