Hours mentioned are Eastern Standard Time or Daylight Savings Time, as prevails.

The table shows the 1972 Pennsylvania fishing seasons, minimum sizes, and daily limits for most inland waters of the Commonwealth. There are exception, however, and on some inland waters, as well as boundary waters (such as the Youghiogheny Reservoir, Delaware River, Lake Erie, Pymatuning Reservoir, etc.) the seasons, sizes, and creel limits are different. Please be sure to check the regulations for waters under special or different regulations.

Possession Limit
A possession limit of double the daily limit of these fish is permitted at your place of abode or while traveling to it after an overnight fishing trip. No species of fish taken from inland waters may be sold.

Thirty Pound Leader
Many fly line users are adding a three-foot butt section of 30 pound monofilament to the working end of their fly line. Leaders are attached to this butt section which saves wear and tear on the fly line and the gradual shortening of it as little bits are snipped off as new leaders are added.

Correct Fuel
If you have a catalytic heater, follow the manufacturer's choice of fuel. There is a reason besides the desire to sell the fuel. The mantels on the catalytic are made to handle certain fluids and not others. Kerosene will gunk them up so will old white gasoline. In many models this means the end; newer models have replaceable units to compensate for camper's mistakes.

Snap, Crackle, & Pop
Beginning fly casters should watch their casting techniques. Failure to wait for the line to stretch out on the backcast could result in a lost fly. A "crack the whip" action may knock it right off. So if you hear a little "pop" as you start the forward cast, check the end of the leader-your feathered creation probably isn't there.

available here is a summary of what Perry and Cumberland counties have to offer.
Perhaps of most interest is the newly created impoundment on the Little Buffalo Park in Perry County. The gates have been closed and the lake has filled with about 88 surface areas resulting at normal pool level. According to Waterways Patrolman Ben Leamer, fishing will be permitted from the start; but catching may be quite limited for awhile. A few trout may work into the lake from upstream and a number of bass and sunfish from a flooded farm pond will ad an additional number of fish, but the number will be insignificant to the total water area so anglers will have to be patient. Conditions will improve.
The lake is to be a warm water fishery with a variety of game and pan fish stocked.

concession, docking facilities, swimming pool complex, a variety of buildings, trails, and other outdoor "goodies." The lake is under the control of the Department of Environmental Resources; therefore, no electric trolling motors will be permitted. Trolling motors may be used on Fish Commission lakes of 50 acres or more.

Cumberland County
A quick look at existing facilities in Cumberland County will show a number of trout lakes. Two of them on the south side of the county would be Laurel Lake and Fuller Lake. Laurel has been stocked with trout several seasons and has a surface area of about 25 acres. In addition to the trout--about 2800 pre-season -- there are a few pickerel and some pan fish in the lake. Laurel is also equipped with a beach and

agency operated impoundment for trout fishing in the area. The 68 acre lake was originally intended as a warm water fishery for bass, walleyes, and other species. Several seasons ago it became a trout water with an annual pre-season Fish Commission stocking of about 6,000 trout. The lake now offers both warm water and cold water species with the musky fishing coming on very well in the last couple of seasons. Boating ramps and mooring facilities are part of the lake's offerings and trolling mo
