Dear Children
For the last two days it has tried to rain & rain was prophecied but the sun would come out. yesterday it was warm & pleasant & I was out a greater part of the day. We had the coal come yesterday, now if it comes cold again, we shant need to freeze any more. George McGarvey took Jack hunting Saturday afternoon & they got two rabbits & a wood cock. Jack just loves to go, he is a good hunting dog. Irma got smashed up Sunday while she was out with their car, but it was not any fault of hers, she was standing still, waiting for the traffic to move on, when the car back raced ahead and hit her car it was damaged slightly, but the other car was smashed up & the woman & child that was sitting in the fathers lap & was the cause of the accident, were taken to the hospital. so its not safe to drive in a crowd with a child in your lap. Frank Packard died and the funeral was yesterday afternoon at the Methodist church he had been a great trial, but was well taken care of by strangers she died most a year ago with cancer both were helped by the town & lived long lives. Did you know that Mary Pierce, the scool teacher, had been given a home with Charles Tucker for the rest of her life, his Grandfather & her mother were brother & sister his mother died less than
