I have been cold ever since & I want to hug the fire most of people have started their heaters & we have got to soon, for our coal is ordered but hasnt come yet I am in hopes to day it may warm up some. Pa put on the last of our outside windows yesterday & took off the blindes, & dug up our carrots & put in the kindling & so prepaired for winter. he was tired when he got through. I have lugged home vinegar three times in my jug for [[strikethrough]]my[[/strikethrough]]green tomatoes,as a full bottle would be too havy to bring all at once. Charles Welch feels just as lonesome as we do, since his little one went back home, he comes to Pa & they sympathize togather, he does not think & feel so bad over the the big one, but its the little ones that breaks his heart to have to part with. Pa tells him that we feel just as bad. I was glad the night drawers suited. now I shall know how to make the other one. Agnes Murphys sister Margaret, the one who lived at home, is at last married to John Rodgers, they have been going togather a long time, now Agnes is the only one that is not married. no one good enough. Nora Fitzpatrick Shay is teaching down to West Stoughton & is living in Frank Jordans house, at the foot of Prospect St, her Dr did you know. Well this is all the news I have got.
