Dear Doris,

Still pleasant + warm.  I have been roaming around out of doors in the sunshine + wondering just how long this weather is going to last.  The trees are looking fine, mostly yellow leaves, as the oaks are still green.  I put in the fournoon by cutting the babies night drawers out, I cut it just like the pattern so that if too long in the legs you can just take a little tuck in them, + as she grows taller you can easily let it out.  it is too nice a day to stay in the house.  + if you were home you would have us all hustled out side.  but I am going to finish the letter  + go down to the office + mail it, there are some things I must get to the store.  also. we got a letter from Lena Tuesday she was anxious to hear about how
