rain before it dries up the berries & things in the gardens. I went up through the fields to Tine's with a tattin pattern for her, & got a few blueberries on the way. so to day I made a saucer pie, & a bread pudding, & some cup cakes for tomorrow I am in hopes to get a few strawberries & that will carry us over the holiday. She wants you to be sure to come out there, to see her, when you come up home this summer. have you had a letter from Ralps folks since he went out west. we dont hear of any one he has written to yet & he has been gone three weeks Sunday. Fred Clapp has hired " Mikes" house in Plymouth for his vacation next week. they are great for going, like everyone else these days. people dont stay at home as they used to once, but perhaps its just as well. I guess this will be a pretty noisy fourth. they have been at it all the week so far, & I will be glad when the day is over I think they are lonesome all alone. Pa wont know what to do with himself either. but we are well & thats something. We are going to have hamburg steak for dinner, & guess its time to get it cooked Ma
