revisited villages of Imogiri, Pocung, and Kasongan
accompanied by Alice Dewey, Rens Locdin-Hieringa, Ard Jay and 2 Dutch guests of Rens, also Maya 
First stopped at base of Imogiri tombs
located former informants, Bapak and Ibu Kantowmekso
Ibu no longer making batik; Bapak, who was about 70 in 1977, is now blind in one eye (appears to be cataracts) and rather feeble, but Ibu appears to be in good health
learned from vilagers standing along the road when we came in that are now 2 main producers, Ibu Jogo Pentiwi and Ibu Joko Winoto

In course of conversation at Ibu + Bapak K'o house learned that majority of villagers now [[crossed out]]hav[[/crossed out]] have only pekanawgan, while those who have tanak ganapan are considered rather wamppu
a higher proportion of the villagers
