[8 June 1930]

Doris,

To day it has been showers till dark, so it has kept us in the house most of time. The cat bird has hatched out all of her eggs so Geo McGarvey found this morning the nest is close to the cor of his and our lot in blackberry bush. So low you can look in on it the Bird does not seem to pay any attention to working around it not 3 ft away from nest as we have to. We have finished about all of our road work, all but Glen Echo & the Square. will have some changes there I think to make the week was on the whole as Hot as any thing I have seen reported from your Wash. temperature. some was rather humid days same as you complain of. Ralph is to go to Hanover next Sunday or Monday to see the finish for the young lad, so we have to put off the Board meeting till the 18th for Ralph to be there it comes Monday 15th
