Dear Doris 

A nice cool sunshiny morning. Although your Friday letter has not got here yet I will start my Sunday one to you just the same. Decoration day went by without any effort on our part. I did think that Mame would at some part of the day show up, but she did not although we heard that they were here but the Griffins drove up, the whole family Mrs. G was looking well and Edna said that she was working in an insurance office, so I guess they are contented living all together as they are. 

Effie said there was plenty of room and said when you come home, we must all come up there, they are crazy to see the baby, and she says stay to dinner. I was just starting my fire after they went, when some body
