We are going to plant carrots & lettuce today if nothing happens. trees are just begun to show their buds on the oaks. we spied a new bird, picking away on the white oak out in Franks field, he was a small brownish bird with grey mixed & a dirty yellow body a little black cap & white feathers in his grey wings. We were puzzled, as we never remembered seeing him before. George is out digging in his garden. he asked me yesterday if they had decided to take Franks lot & I said yes, Ring says so, he was glad to have them come so to clear up such a lot, but they dont know what they are up against every one thinks. this will be a catholic neighborhood sure, but whats the difference people dont neighbor these times, Mrs Dykeman is longing for Grace to be home. then they will give Mrs Raychard the GB. as Grace intend spending her vacation at home this summer. I am having lamb for dinner as we are both off our feed
