The radio speakes [[speaks]] of a cloud burst out in Pennsylvania & the zoo got flooded & all the animals are at large roaming aroun [[around]] town. hope they dont come here. I am sending along Lena's letters. the gardens are looking fine since the rain. Ralph says to come down & see his Maude is making a new garden any thing to take up their minds. such a terrible shock everyone pities them. the huckleberries are just beginning to ripen & by the time you reach here they will be in their prime I dont see any blackberries but they are not any where near time for them to be ripe here
