Pa's temper increases & I get pretty well stirred up. he spites his ugly feelings on me as he is her alone & no one to hear him. but when any one comes he is on his best behavior.

Dear Doris

We did not get any letter from you yesterday. but two came t[[strikethrough]]w[[/strikethrough]]o day. we are having very damp muggy feeling weather last night & this morning. now the sun is just peeping out. Pa went down to the store yesterday & found Ruby doing up Leonards bundles. then she & her father rode up & delivered them & left Pa in charge of the store. he did up a few bundles then & when I got there he stood at his desk looking over the books. I got a bag full of things & then started home. Ruby brought him back. On the way back Lottie Crane came out to inquire about all the folks. she says her brother has been sick &
