Dear Doris

We awoke this morning to find the ground covered with two inches of snow, but the temperature up beyond 48 it is still spitting snow.

I went down to see about that oil permit as Pa was still worried & found that Fred Pie had filled it out & said that it was all ready to hang up down in the cellar where it could be seen.

On my way home I stopped to see how Sue was getting along & foun she was better able to come down stairs, but Alice was coming down with Myrts cold but that the Dr was trying to break it up. Myrtie was there fat as a great hog she takes care of her mother through the night, so she says, but guess there is not any great ammout of care needed as I think she is much better. Myrt says that Mrs Toomey has intestinal grip that it is going the rounds old Moses had that last year & I would not be
