Arthur L. Holmes 290 Walnut Street Stoughton, Mass. June 30th 1932 Dear Doris This is a day with cool wind, but hot sun. dry + hot I do pray for some rain good pelting shower that will wet down befor the 4th. there are lots of clouds over head + they make it nice + cool inside of the house. our roses are still in their prime + my red bud tree is growing to shade the grapevine. the little grapes are just forming. the shower was just in time to save everything + I hope there will some more come before they dry up. Everything looks green + thrifty the leaves shine + in the back yard the trees are growing up fast even the birch tree is getting to be a very large tree with an enormous shade. its a regular wilderness down near George McGarveys. there are a good many nests there which I have not been able to locate. there are so many blackberry vines. I suppose
