a part of every thing his interest is gone entirely. Ralph when he comes tries to talk about things the same as they used to but no use, he does not care about listening, he has lost all interest in things of the past as though they had never been. he seems to be gradually wasting away. Oh I hope when the time comes for me to go I drop out quick with all my faculties and no one will have the job of taking care of me, but we can't tell from one day to another whats going Bruces check to come in so I can have them all cashed at once, but I don't hear from him. I guess he is waiting to earn it, he is all right and knows that I asked his wife for it, but don't worry, he will send it as soon as he gets it I know. I am not worrying, don't send any more checks unless I tell you, for I have a great plenty. I am going to draw out that money in the Cop [[cooperative]] bank the next time I go down, for whats the use if it does not mature right away, five dollars every month is too much unless one has an income. We have just eaten our tea and Pa came down bad as ever and wanted me to listen, every thing he says is all mixed up and "what are you going to do about it" Pa said that is as you see it and "no now listen, you don't understand" crazy as ever, but after he ate he forgot about it in a way now he is waiting for his paper. well no different from what he has been
