Stoughton April 26th 1932 Dear Doris. I have just been out raking & getting my garden in shape its trying to rain just enough to wet the ground a trifle but not enough to do any good. I have been examining my red bud & find they are buds that are coming out on the main stock. I got those you sent in the letter & find these will come out not far behind. they are a very showy blossom. Jim Bakers came over this fore noon he does not seem to get over his spell & has grown thin. he said it was his breach that was bothering him & he could not do any thing. he was two hours trying to put it back but finally did. he says he cant [[can't]] go to have it fixed on account of his heart, so he will have to make the best of it I suppose. Myrtie called up this afternoon, to say that she was running the ranch, Alice was up to Boys. for a change, she needed a vacation so went & left Myrtie to do the work. Hattie Packard is still there & the teachers are away on their spring vacations. I suppose they have this week. I shall go down tomorrow after some things to
