Dear Doris

This is a partially cloudy day. the sun comes out at intervals. april weather without the rain. 

I have been house cleaning about all day I cleaned the front chamber & the upper hall & have got both carpets cleaned & put down against curtain ironed & put up also.

I think the hall will be the next to clean & then no more carpets are coming up this spring Pa gets too nervous. but the hall carpet was not taken up last spring & the room is very dirty so I shall feel better to cleane [[clean]] it this spring. never mind Pa & his opposing elements.
