Stoughton March 30th 1932

Dear Doris. I went down town this afternoon in spite of the cold wind. although the stores were closed I got what I needed. Pa is finding fault because I did not get a receipt for the safty deposit box. so I went up to Tirrells + he said he would mail it to me. he offered to give me one, but I did not hear what he said + so when he got it I had gone. he was going to send it through the mail then. 

This week has seemed the most like winter. March seems to be going out pretty hard. the wind was terrible all night + today Pa woke up in the night + woke me up out of a sound sleep to ask me what I woke him up by slapping his face for. the wind was blowing + rattling the windows + it may have had something to do with it. but
