Dear Doris

This has been a cool but very sunny day. I broke my glasses right after I got up this afternoon. so had to go down to have them mended. it only took a few minutes, the screw came undone & let out the glass & the thing that goes over the ear bow it only cost a quarter. so while I was down town I got a few thing I was going to be out of next. this is a good sunny spring day. & I enjoyed the air outside as I dont get any too much of. Pa seemed quiet & hardly knew when I came home. I have the door locked & so come in the back way. in places where the concrete ended I found it very wet & muddy, but I could pick my way so got along quite well without rubbers. no one wears such things these days. I hardly saw any body I knew. I wanted to stop on my way home, but I plugged along so all I got was the airing. it is a treat to have some one to speak to once in a while.
