Dear Doris

Our snow storm did not last long but it left behind a cold atmosphere & the radio says cold tomorrow. so I guess the frogs won't peep this week or next. this must have spoilt the ice gathering. They got their harvesting of ice last week. The paper said they would have to be satisfied with ice six inches thick for their summer sales.
I am hoping to have pleasant weather by tomorrow this kind we are getting heartily sick of its been five days now that we have not had any sunshine I managed to dry my clothes by the kitchen fire & the radiators. most of the washings are switching on the lines around in the neighborhood. I would have a coniption fit to have mine out through such windy weather
I have just written to Lena she expects to hear from me once a week & by the time I get hers written I am greatly relived she is doing some thing in the line of writing this winter
