Dear Doris
Our last mail came after we had gone to bed. I found two letters of yours & four cards on the floor as I came down. They weren't there when we left to go to bed perhaps Bing might have brought it up.
Our snow has disappeared these last few warm sunny days wonderfully. There's hardly any of it left we have had two rains in the night one came last night + today looks like it meant to be a very sunny warm day.
I meant to have crab meat for my dinner Xmas Pa wont eat any but he finds fault with every thing he eats clear up to dinner + then acts like a hateful young one when dinner is ready, so it makes no difference what the dinner is to him. + I am very fond of crab meat + I have a lot of it. I would rather have it than chicken + it's much easier to prepare.
I hope now you will enjoy your little house Xmas with no outside members to mar the harmony. Look out for driving these slippery times Ma
