L. R. Vol. (00) 4th M.D., 1867 A. 1213 (A 5) Hurricane August 22. 1867 "Anonymous." Regarding the state of affairs in that vicinity States that a woman employed by a man on "Palmyra" was badly beaten on the 20" inst by a man (also an employee of the same party) - On being remonstrated with, this man threatened to shoot the party making the remonstrance.
