General Gillem,
Comdg. B.R.F & A.L.

Genl
In Septbr 1865 I placed my claim in the hands of Mr R.A. Florey for collection.
I have reason to believe that the money has been placed in his hands by the Govt for payment to me; but he has put me off for some months, now with the statement that my [[crossed out]] claim [[/crossed out]] money has not come though he offers one $175 00 cash, for it.
I would like to have an interview with you this morning and get you to advise me what to do. I say "this morning" because I do not live in Vicksburg, and now that I am in town, would like to get the matter arranged at once.

Very Respectfully
Your Obt Svt
