kill him as soon as the crop was gathered if found in the neighborhood, Scales has left the vicinity in consequence of said threat, the same night, this party of men took a pistol from Scales which was never returned, also beat the wife of Scales in a shameful manner.  He further states that Muggins Watson has been laying around his mothers house waiting for him (Walker) several nights last week, and threatens to kill him on sight. Said Walker further states this party threaten to kill any freedmen that reports them to the  Bureau, also that this party boast they are going to Texas in a short time and intend killing some negroes before they go, he further states the above statements can be proven by freedman Samuel Billingsby and Moses Gibson, who are now living with Norman Hubbard four miles west from Saltillo.
