I again sit down to inform you where I am and what I am doing. as I have plinta [[strikehthrough]] ty [[/strikethrough]] of time. this day has bin a long one to me for ther is but little a doing Since Christmas has commenced tho tomorrow Buiness will commence again, I have done but little sence I got hear. I have bought only one negro and that is a man about 20 years of age he is a boy such as I think will nearly bring Eight hundred dollars in Ky on in the South. I paid six hundred & thirty dollars for him I think men is selling hear lower than any other class Women are fetching from [[strikthrough]] $500 [[/strikethrough]] to $650. I have saw a girl of ordinary size and apearance fetch $500 on the block she was only 12 year old and other girles that was older fetch $800. no one women are selling very high. if ther is no change in the coars of afew days hear, I shall go to Norfolk. I am told ther is a beter place to purches than hear and the trip can be made in 10 [[?]] & cost $1,00
