Kamkoff returned to Kotlik early this morning he having been here since day before yesterday- I have more arrangements to go to the Yukon month on an expedition for Emperor Geese in May. Hearing that I may have a bad road when I go I have sent by Kamkoff boxes and other materials for my trip which will commence about May 8th
Kamkoff tells us that on the 15th of April a few geese were seen flying over the open water at sea by the natives who were seal hunting at the time

The wind changed to the south during the night south during the night and  it became foggy and afterwards the sky remained cloudy- I took my 90 P.M. observation by daylight for the first time ^ this spring last evening-

During the day a heavy gale arose from the south filling the air with flying snow but the steadily rising temperature, 32° at 9P.M. gave hopes of milde weather-
